R.I.P. Chris Hendrickson

Master chess player, librarian, forest fire-fighter, all-around hippy freak.

As one of my dad's oldest friends, I've known Chris my whole life. She was both quiet and crazy, brilliant and kind. She worked at the University of Colorado library as long as I knew her, and was set to retire this coming Sunday. She played chess through the mail with jail inmates. Leukemia claimed her life, but I know it was a good one.
